Desktop applications for Windows

The course Essential Desktop Applications will be held May 31-June 23, Monday-Friday, 9-10:45 a.m., and will be held in a centralized computer lab location (tbd). The course provides skills in using personal computers running the Windows operating system, covering fundamental technical concepts and time-saving techniques for Windows, and Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. It emphasizes hands-on experience and development of PC-based solutions and strategies. Students will take the industry-recognized Microsoft test to gain certification as a Microsoft Office specialist in Excel. The skills developed in this course are useful prerequisites for several elective courses in human resource management. For more information, see
